TC 7.9 is concerned with methods of developing and executing the commissioning process as required to provide HVAC and related systems which conform with design intent and project requirements. Our members offer their wide knowledge on these topics in many different Society activities, through various subcommittees.

The Committee sponsors Research Projects, which are a way to further knowledge in our field.

We provide valuable assistance in the writing and revision of the chapter in the Handbook for which we are responsible. The most recent edition of our chapter appeared as Chapter 42 in the 2003 edition of the HVAC Applications handbook.

We often sponsor one or more Seminars at the Society National Meetings. This is a good opportunity to let others know what TC 7.9 is doing.

Finally, we are also involved with the writing and revision of guidelines. In particular, TC 7.9 has had a long history of involvement in Guideline 1, "The HVAC Commissioning Process."

The subcommittee meetings are where the action is, so don't miss them. They are a good way for TC members to become more closely involved with the activities of the committee.
